PA - Open Container Citation Help

Pennsylvania

I recently got stopped and cited in a subway for an open container of colt 45. Initially, the cop asked me what my age was and if I had ID. I told him I was 21 and that I didn't have ID. He told me to throw it out. I did, but than made the bad choice of going back to get it and he saw me and chased me down as I walked away. The cop than took my info and gave me a citation for open container. On the citation it only says I was observed with an open bottle of colt 45 40z and that I was stopped and cited. I'm really 18 and this is my first offense for anything so I was wondering what the procedure is when I have to go to court next month and what the penalties are for open container. I don't want to further incriminate myself, if it's possible, by giving the full story when the cop didn't put it in the citation. Thanks in advance.
