PA suspension started last week for 1986 DUI

I live and have a driver's license in Ohio. Never had a PA license. Convictions in '86 were DUI and Homicide by vehicle. Tried to renew Ohio Driver's License 3 weeks ago and found Pa. put a block on my license with the new National Driver Register and/or PDPS.

Contacted Penndot and they said I never got credit for serving my suspensions (1 yr. for each offense) because I never submited an acknowlegment form. So I signed the form and sent it in with $25. Then they started my suspension on 9/24/09. Problem is, I can't renew my now expired Ohio driver's license. All these years and I knew nothing of any suspension. Never got anything in mail. (I know it's not a defense.)

Talked to attorneys in both Pa and Ohio and it appears there is nothing I can do. Penndot administrative hearing is no good to get prior credit because I never acknowledged the suspension. I'm getting conflicting advice on some matters. Limited or OLL is out of the question because of the convicitons, but even if they weren't, Penndot can't grant me an OLL for Ohio. Ohio BMV says they can do nothing for me, they say it has to be cleared from Pa.

Can Ohio BMV suspend my license? Am I driving under suspension in Ohio now or just with an expired license? Am I really SOL or is there something I can do?

Please Help.

WOW ....Are you SOL? What about the person you killed in 1986 because you were driving under the influence??

R e a lllllllllll y SOL !!!!

Are you saying you had a DUI and killed someone, and never suffered any driving suspensions? And you NEVER bothered to inquire about the status of this?

I am having a hard time feeling bad for you. You were more than happy to ignore all of this until it INCONVENIENCED YOU!!!
