Public Intox while on Probation

What is the name of your state TX

Friend is currently on probation 6 yrs for AGG Assult/w deadly weapon (his fist). He violated in March for failing a drug test (meth) Prob Officer sent him to drug and alch classes and drug testing every week. On July 3rd he got a Public Intox and was arrested. He was driving but officer followed him home and arrested him in the parking lot of apt complex. Failed field sob test.
He went to Probation this week and didnt mention the arrest. (stupid) What are the chances the prob officer will find out and do they constantly check for new arrest records? If they find out how long will it take for a warrant to be issued?
