    Question about Underage Drinking fine

On the way back from a halloween party I got into a car accident and I was drunk.. I wasnt driving I actaully had a designated driver..my girlfriend doesn't drink and was driving... well I'm not sure what happened since I was sleeping when we crashed.. anyways it was a pretty bad accident the police had to kick the window out and drag us out since we flipped...anyways I got a blood test while I was at the hospital and obviously it came back conclusive.. This is my third underage..don't lecture me about the wrongs of underage drinking I just want real legal adive..anyways well I just started a few months ago a pretty intense fitness regimen and i'm trying to go pretty much all natural and healthy with my diet so I was pretty much cutting out all alcohol out of my diet..well now definatly since its causing so much problems.. But yeah I couldnt go to college this year since my license is suspended untill March..and now if my license is suspended for 2 more years then college is out of the question untill I get it back.. Do you think there is anyway if I got lawyer I can work out a deal? I'm willing to do anything..year probation, drug and alcohol programs, whatever...is there anyway I can somehow get a deferred sentence?

How old were you when you were arrested previously? How old are you now?

Why can't you go to college without a driver's license?

Underage drinking is illegal, so don't do it - that's your legal advice. Since this is your third time, why should the court give you any sort of leniency? Would a program even work for you? From the way you present yourself in your post, I doubt it.

You'd better hire a lawyer. There's no way your oh-so-repentant attitude is going to win the judge over.

    EDIT:
What in the world is wrong with you PA folks? There's a ton of DUI posts from PA on the board this week! I think I'll avoid PA, and take Rt. 68 in the future...

With a third offence it's very unlikely that any judge is going to be willing to bargain with you. I've been through the PA courts myself and can attest to the fact that the only time you can even try telling them "i swear it won't happen again" is the first time. After that you at least looking at the minimum sentence, which in your case is definitely going to include a license suspension. Keep your head up, we always think it's going to be worse than it really is. Get a job, hit the gym, it'll be done before you know it. Then finish school.

If you ever do finish school, do it again.

    Compass?

Third alcohol arrest as a minor, so drunk you didn't even notice the crash?

Dude, you don't need a moral compass, you need an intervention.

Nobody, and that's the point. You don't deserve leniency, so the judge isn't likely to let you off.

Which is why you're going to be taking the bus.

Oh, okay, that changes everything. The judge is sure to let you off based on this. Just go and tell him that the bus isn't good enough for you, and he'll just drop the charges against you.

Quite frankly you will be lucky to get into an university. Your criminal record is not going to impress anybody. NOr will it enable you to get a good job in a variety of fields. But that is okay, at 18 you have pretty much confined yourself to a lifetime of minimum wage work. Congrats!
Parents should remember 3 things: Love your kids more than you hate your ex; when you have children the relationship with the other parent is until death; your children determine what type of nursing home you end up in.
Nothing stated by me should be taken as giving you legal advice or forming an attorney/client relationship.

I've removed the knife from my back, polished it, and will one day return it -- long after you think I have forgotten.

It's not wrong just because it's illegal?? Ummm...yeah. That's pretty much what "illegal" means, Brainiac.

Who cares about your morals?? The law is your legal compass.

I feel like some of you come on these boards just to see people at their lowest moments to make yourselves feel better. He's asking for legal advice, not moral advice. The question he asked was not "should I drink when I'm underage," it was "I drank when I was underage, now what?" The answers people get on some of these threads are really helpful. Why do you even waste your time being a-holes?
