What is the name of your state? New York.

I know someone who's about to apply for US citizenship. He's 63 years old. He has DUI and/or DWI record in 1985 and 2002. He took some of those courses to reduce his points and etc. He wants to know whether these two records will definitely cause INS to deny him for his citizenship application because there's no reason for him to appy for it if he'll get denied. Please reply back and let me know as soon as possible. Thank you.

What did INS say when you asked them about your pending citizenship application and your drunk driving conviction?
He didn't ask them. In addition, he hasn't applied for the citizenship yet either. He wants to know whether he'll be denied or not if he applies due to his past two records. There's no reason for him to spend hundreds of dollars if his application will be denied. That's why he wants to know if the two past records of his is significant enough to get his application denied IF he applies for it. Thanks.
