Questions about 2nd DUI OffenceWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA I got my first DUI when I was 21 in the state of Virginia. I paid off everything and did my drug awarness program through the Navy when I was in the Navy. I came to Pennsylvania, went out one night. And some girls I picked up were way drunker than I and had to move there car. I made a wide left turn to a one way street(yes I was going the right way) and thats why the cop pulled me over. Asked me if I drank I said yes. Gave me the test I passed then did the breathelizer and I blew a 0.1 took me to the hospital drew blood came out the same finger print me and I went home. I also had an expired liscence. What kind of punishment am I looking at fines? jailtime? min - max if possible. And I cant afford a lawyer since I just moved here and have no job yet. So I have to get one appointed to me. |

Not Enough Info To Really HelpMore info is needed here. How old is your first DUI? You blew road side and then they took blood, what were the blood results? They will use your your blood against you, vs roadside BAC., blood is always the better indication of your true BAC. And you were driving on expired, and which one, the PA DL which are are supposed to get, if you move there, and establish residency, or on your VA DL? You can ask lots here, and get lots of ADVICE, but what you really need to do, is get a PA DUI Lawyer and ask him these questions, for the best possible guidance. Depending on your status, you may need a VA Lawyer as well. Just do this, do not lie to them, do not omit anything, the lawyers can really only help you, if they know all of it. And do some research on your own, just so you know, what may or may not happen. Lots of info on PA DUI Laws, and VA DUI LAWS ON THE NET. The more you know, the better you will be able to deal with this. This DUI, is not your first, and they will find that out. Only your lawyer can really answer your questions, and even then, there are no guarantees. Good luck! Last edited by RatPackLar; 07-02-2008 at 08:05 PM. |
