| Contact the DMV. The administrative penalty for refusing the chemical test is a seperate matter from the criminal case. It is entirely possible to lose your license and still not be prosecuted. - carl

retaining licenseYour state may have a 'consent' law. Tennessee does. I was in violation of the 'implied consent' law, and lost my license for 1 year because I refused an alcohol test when requested by authorities. In Tennessee, it is automatic, and there is no appeal of this law, so check to see if this exists in your state. Just an FYI Saminalham |
