so for the third dui in placer county

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

How much person can probably get. This is for my brother and I have asked a question before also. he has hired a pretty good lawyer. As per lawyer the case is fightable but he want to look at police report first and also BAC blood test results which according to him may take couple of weeks.

But I just want to make sure if anybody there has any experience about what a person can get for third dui in placer county. How much does DA normally offers. is there any possibility of alternate sentencing and if he has got jail, will he be in barrack (minimum security) or the main jail?

I know there are lots of questions but he is really scared and want to know if any idea can be given to him?

CA DUI 3rd Offence

On being charged for a third time with a DUI offence a 3 to 5 years of court or formal probation may be awarded. A formal probation unlike court probation requires a person to report to a probation officer on a regular basis. The amount of fine charged may range from $1800 to $2800. Being charged a third time might also lead to a loss of license for up to 3 years. 18 months of compulsory attendance to a DUI school may also be awarded. The above-mentioned penalties may be combined with a required jail term of 120 days.

Now if your brother is still on probation for his priors, they will hit him harder for not only the probation violations, but getting the 3rd offence as well.

Each case is unique and you will not find any pat answers to your questions. Only the lawyer can really advise you, and again, he cannot make any guarantees either.

I have also heard that roseville police department

in placer county has strated a program where you can spend night there and pay 50$ and then go to work in the morning.

It looks like pretty flexible plan. I am not sure though whether placer county DAs are offering that kind of sentence or not.

I have read about minimum and maximu sentences for third dui in ca. I want to get an idea from real scenarios if anybody has any knowledge or have gone through the same that what kind of sentences does DA normally offers in placer county?

yeah he is doing that.

i know it is easy to say but hard to believe. He started taking medical help also. The same thing i tried to explain it to him thousands of time. But he never listened.

It looks like he is changed now and should be able to leave alcohol altogether.
