Question

statute of limitations

What is the name of your state? NC I was arrested almost 8 years ago for dwi and no drivers license. I left before my court date. My question is, in NC is there a statute of limitations or do I have to turn myself in after 8 years? Jail is not an option as I have a newborn and will not go to jail.

Interesting post.....
You say that you 'left' before the court date. Is this a PC term for 'jumped bail', 'skipped out', 'fled the jurisdiction', etc.???

If so, then you very likely have a warrant (or two) out for your arrest. Simply, if you get stopped and 'ran' by the police for any reason and your outstanding warrant pops up, you will get a nice set of bracelets to wear and get to go on a county or state controlled menu plan.

Your arrest is not 'optional' and has nothing to do with your being a 'new parent'. After all, if you had accepted responsibility for your actions back then, you wouldn't have this 'parental' concern today!!

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

You're a fugitive.

You are a wanted criminal.

The Statute of Limitations has nothing to do with it.

It only applies to the filing of charges, not a chicken who runs away.

Can we put this on the FAQ page.....maybe we won't get 1000 questions a week identical to this**************
