Suspended license

What is the name of your state? Fl
Hello, I was arrested back in Nov/2006. I was awaiting trial so I got a business purpose license. I accepted a plea last week and my license is now suspended for 6 months. My license got suspended when I was arrested. Do they add on 6 more months from date of conviction or do they take into account the time that my license was susp in Nov?Also do I have to apply for another business license? Any info would be truly appreciated thanks.

Is there a lawyer you can talk to, man? You'll probably want one to at least answer your questions, if not represent you in any legal proceedings.

Ask the DMV.

Hmmm; Not sure. I was told that the longer of the two suspensions, court or DMV, was the prevailing factor. The last expiration date of the suspension is the one that matters. The best way to get the answer would be to ask your lawyer. If your lawyer can't help you, the next best thing to do is pose the question to the DMV. Not just your local DMV desk clerk, they won't be able to help in complex matters.

Go to this site: http://www.hsmv.state.fl.us/offices/

Follow the link to your county, then look for these words: "Under Suspension - Need Driver License for Work
Hardship Driver Licenses - XXXXX city name, XXXXX phone number"

Call that telephone number, and be prepared to hit redial a few hundred times until you get through. Those people will be able to answer any questions. They are busy, but they are very well informed.
