Suspended License ChargeMichigan 5 years ago I was charged with DUI 3rd offense. I was sentenced 9 months in Jail, 12 months of Sobriety Courts, 960 hours of community sercive, and 5 years probation. I served my 9 months sentence, completed my Sobriety Court, and my community service. I was released 3 years early from probation due to honorable reconition for changed behavior. I was presented awards for my achievements and was asked to help talk to others in changing their life with the courts. I have lived by my changes, never drinking, nor driving. Today I still have yet to have my drivers license. I am actually eligile next month to recieve an assesment for reinstatement for my license, this November (5 years to the day of my sentence). I just got married two months ago, bought a house 1 week ago, and recieved a promotion at my work to become GM. I am 26 years old. My problem: I recieved an emergency phone call at work so I took the wrong step and drove. On my return home I was in an accident. No one was hurt but I recieved a driving on Suspended/Revoked license. I need some advice on my outlook for this case. Please Help |

This is the FIRST and ONLY time you have driven in FIVE years... and happened to get caught?? Wanna' buy a Brooklyn Bridge?? Quote:
Fines, possible jail time, another several years before license is possible.

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport! |

| First offense, up to 93 days in jail and $500 fine (plus court costs). Even if you get it plead down to lesser charge, the extension of the revocation period will occur. Lucky no one (including you) was hurt. That jacks the charge up to a felony.

| Thanks for your return messages. Though your disbelief was quite frank, I have actually put together a community car pool and is has been running strong. So though you might not believe me in driving for the first time, it is the truth The emergency at work was my senoir manager collasped and had a heart attack and died.. So, thanks for comments and the advice. |
