Underage Posession

Hi, I was having a debate and am having a hard time finding an answer. Hopefully someone can help.

Let's say you are under 21 and driving along with 3 friends (also under 21) in the car, 1 of the friends had (without your knowledge) packed away a bottle of alcohol(seal broken) and some weed in her bag (both of which are in the trunk). If you get pulled over for speeding, i know it is unlikely that they will check your trunk, but if they happened to for any reason and found the illegal substances could the three who had no idea of the drugs/alcohol get in any trouble even though they were clueless?

I have searched google for a while on this and can't find anything proving it or otherwise, if you could give a link it would be appreciated.
