VA Open Container on Private Property

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Virginia

I got an Open Container citation on Private Property. The Private Property is a Private Park owned by a Home Owner's assocation, of which I am a member and have to pay dues to every year, therefore I am a part owner of said property. Only members of the Assocation and their guests are allowed at the park. Any suggestions on how to fight this?

Probably not. Not unless your HOA has a liquor license.

How about some more information? Were you at a community picnic? Did you get into a fight? Just hanging out and drinking?

What was the exact violation number on the citation?

VA open container law has to do with in a vehicle.
