Question

waiting for court date on dui charges

nevada, have been given a citation for dui which has a court date assigned, but when i checked with the court clerk to double check date and time, she told me no date had been set, that the matter is still pending, and that they should notify me of a date when one is set. I live in a small rural town and although we have a few judges, the d.a. would have to come from the city so to speak, same county. Is there a time limit on when a court date is set? Or is it common to have a date on a citation and then find out later no actual date has been set? wondering if this is a good or bad sign? Thanks for any help.
