What can I expect?

What is the name of your state? PA On March 23 at 9:30 PM I had an accident in NY. There were no other drivers involved. I was life flighted to a PA hospital and wes released without serious injuries a few hours later. The NY state police arrested me at the hospital and charged me with DWI. My doctor told me my blood alcohol was 0.182. This will be my first offense. What consequences can I expect at my hearing? Will I lose my PA liscense? I also have a CDL. Will I lose it?What is the name of your state?

First offense DWI penalties in NY:
Fines - $500 to $1,000
Imprisonment - Up to 1 year (not likely on a first offense, but it's available to judge)
License suspension
There's also community service, DUI related classes.

If your license is suspesded for a NY offense, it will also be suspended in PA.

I had my hearing last night. I got $500.00 fine. 90 days suspension in NY after 20 days. I also have to go to 1 mandatory night to face families who have lost someone to drunk driving. I saved money because I didn't hire a lawyer. It turned out that the judge knew my grandfather.

How about your CDL? Will it automatically be reinstated in 90 days?

That's what I love about Maryland. Helicopter EMS is run by the State Police, and they never send anyone a bill.
