Is it worth buying a breathalyzer ?

Ohio.

The website below offers some personal breathalyzers. Can anyone answer any of the following questions ?

(1) Do any of these breathalyzers (or others) really work ?
(2) Are they as accurate as advertised (ie. within .01 percent) ?
(3) Are they legal ?

Thanks.

Yes, they work. Yes, they are legal. But, to be accurate they need to be properly maintained and calibrated. AND, being below the per se limit in your state does NOT mean that you are NOT DUI. You CAN be legally DUI and impaired below .08 (or .10 ... whatever it is where you live).

It is probably not worth spending the $300 or so dollars. It is better to just avoid drinking and driving.
