What is the name of your state? New York State

At what age can a student drop out of high school in New York City?
In other words, up to what age must a person stay in school under the law?

If one is old enough to consider dropping out, one is old enough to google for the required information.

In New York, you can drop out of high school at the end of the school year in which you turn 16, WITH a parent's or guardian's consent. You can drop out on your own at age 18.

Thanks, Quincy. No worries, Mr. Stealth, I'm not going to drop out, and google takes longer.

This is for both posters in this thread:

So someone else should take the time to google the information instead of you?
