educational guardianshipWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? I live in florida and my grandchild does also. She has chosen to move to georgia to continue her education in jr high school. Her mother was told she needs to give her father guardianship. The counselor at her florida school is telling us that we can get an educational guardianship. I have been trying to research but am not finding any helpful info. Please assist me. |

| How old is the child?

| Jr High - that puts the child at 12-15 years of age.

| Thanks, Zig - I'm wondering why a 12 year old would be allowed to choose where s/he is schooled. A 15 year old might be a little different - but still, there are far too many missing details unfortunately. Where is Dad? What are his thoughts on all this?
