ipod stolen

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? georgia. son was on field trip bus and teacher took his ipod. it was stolen from her bag. school says their insurance won't cover it, it was my sons fault because he shouldn't of had it. teacher says she will only pay $150. there is over $200 in the darn thing! what she offers doesn't even include tax. she wrote the check and i have it. what should i do? this has been dragging on for over a month. seems to me she was the irresponsible one and has a severe case of neglect.

This exact subject has been posted before.

Anything that's on the iPod is also on the computer. Buy a new one and put the songs back on it.

You have no case and if your sosn needs to buy songs from Itunes to replace the ones lost, make him do chores and earn the $$$$. Also make sure he keeps the tunes on his hard drive for future use.

You and your son have just learned a little about "logical and natural consequences."

That's good.

Huh???? This is ALL your son's fault. 100% If he lost his iPod because he had it somewhere he shouldn't have had it in the first place, make HIM pay for it to replace it.

Honestly, she shouldn't have given you one red cent. You may want to take the money and close your mouth before she gets some legal advice and decides to change her mind regarding the payment.
