Prolonged Confinement - British Boarding School

Hi,

I have recently been suspended from my boarding school and am in the middle of exams. Because of this and because I live outside the UK the school has very little choice but to let me stay in the boarding house on what is known as an 'Internal Suspension' in order for me to finish my exams.

The conditions of this are that I must be in my bedroom (about 12ft by 6ft, if that makes any difference) all day except for meal times. This amounts to about 22h in my room and 2h for meals every day for 2 weeks.

My question:
Is it legal under British law, to confine someone under these conditions with no prospect of exercise etc.

I am merely curious as I know trying to fight it would just get me into more trouble but I would like to know all the same.

Thanks in anticipation of anybody replying to this thread

Sorry, this site is for US law only. Try and search for a site that can answer your question about British law.
