This school has opened pandora's box. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? SC My son tested positive on a urinalysis at school. He is in the 10th grade, but an honor student ranked 41 out of 500 students. He is a child of divorce and his dad has extreme NPD. I am not making excuses for him, but he said he didn't care anymore. He reached the end of his rope and wanted to come back and live with me. He was able to withdraw from the school, but I enrolled him a school in NC and along with the transcripts came the drug tests and possible expulsion if he didn't leave the school by 3:00 pm that day. The new school sees the drug tests. Letters from his teachers are being sent as well as the assistant principal is calling to let the new school that he is a good student. He has never been in trouble at school. I never signed the waiver for the drug test, but his dad did. We had joint custody, but now, I will again have full custody. I was told to go to the superintendent's office asap with all the information. How can a school act as if it were a juvenile detention center? |

Just as I would hope that mommy is getting Sonny some drug counselling so that hopefully Sonny doesn't become an addict if he already hasn't.

| Huh. I can say that I'd want the school to be aware of any "issues" (that might affect my kids) coming along with a new transfer student. I also hope that Mom has made it clear to her darling, brilliant son that just because he got his way doesn't mean life with her is going to be a bed of roses, and that he's prepared to be on a very short leash for the duration of his childhood.
