State's responsibility for Title IX compliance?

Just a general question, are states required to exercise any oversight over local districts to ensure that all the state's public schools are Title IX compliant (if federal dollars come to each school by way of a state education fund)?

Practically speaking, I don't believe there's an oversight committee at the state level. Each district is responsible for insuring compliance and handling complaints. If you have a complaint that is not resolved to your satisfaction, then you can contact the state board of ed or dept of ed. The following website also suggests that you can contact the Office of Civil Rights.
