my son is in 2nd grade and has a older teacher who dislikes boys. she has been like this for years. i have complained and the school has a child study team with a psychologist trying to make my son behave to her standards.the first month of school she sent him out for 10 hours for minor boy annoyances. the teacher now wont speak to me and refuse to give me a parent teacher conference. help

I guess the question is - what is it your son is doing that seems to be causing the problem? What are the "minor boy annoyances? you mention?

my son has been accused of talking, playing with his pencilss, making noises with his mouth, elbowing kids, pushing in line, not listening, not doing his work on time, tattling. this is not a defensive mom trying to protect her baby. my son is doing the same things alll the other boys are doing and he is called out. the teacher yells and has put her hands on kids, she never smiles and is generally a miserable person.she treats my child with total gisrespect and distain.

I'm not really sure you have any legal recourse, but you could talk to the principal about having your son transfered to a different class. I'd insist that there be a conference with the teacher - it might help if you couched it in terms that you would like to work with her to correct the problem she and your son are having. And you could also work with your son to change his behavior - just because "all the other boys" are behaving poorly doesn't make it okay.
