Truancy Law Question

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TX

If an elementary school-aged child is continually late to school by no more than 20 minutes, will the school refer them to the truancy court?

If so, when the child is in split households and the tardies only occur on one parent's "time", will any court-related action be the responsible of THAT parent or both?

Since no one else has responded, I will, if only to point out that we cannot say what an unknown school district, or court, WILL do. The crystal ball is out being recalibrated.

If you are the parent who is getting the kid to school late, then cut it out and get up earlier so that the kid gets to school on time. If you are the parent who is getting the kid to school on time, then until the truant officer shows up at YOUR door, you need to stop worrying about something you cannot control.

And I think the court might look at it equally being both parents' fault (from what I've seen on the Custody/Visitation sub-forum).
