What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NC
My aunt is in an assisted living center. My mother has power of attorney but is now not able to take care of herself and has moved in with my sister. I was just told that now my aunt has no finances left and needs to leave the assisted living center but has no place to go and no other family. I am willing to take her but with the situation of my mothers health, I want to take over power of attorney for my aunt to make sure she is taken care of properly. How can I do this legally? My mother does not accept that she is no longer capable to do this.
