In the state of Massachusetts, can the executor of a will go against what is wriiten in the will? My uncle recently passed and a family member, the one selected to be the executor, has gone against my uncles wishes. Is there anything that can be done about this?

One of the duties of the executor is to carry out the provisions of a will.

Your recourse is to petition the probate court to force the executor to comply.
