What is the name of your state? Indiana As Power of Attorney for my aged mother I have recently qualified her for Medicaid in the state of Indiana. After qualifying we learned of the death of her brother who left my mother some money. Does this have to be reported to Medicaid and will it disqualify her?

It all depends on the facts but it will have to be reported. Was it omly money or was it property?
