How Does An Agent On A Power Of Attorney Sign?
Sharon Kovacs Gruer
Q. I am my mother's Power of Attorney. What is the proper way to sign papers for her using my POA?

A. When you sign on behalf of your mother, using the power of attorney, you want to make sure that people understand that you are an agent acting on behalf of a known principal. Therefore, you should sign as follows: your mother's name, by your name, as agent under a durable power of attorney dated xx".
