Power of AttorneyWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oregon Should a Durable Power of Attorney be read first to the principal, before signing it? |

| Not necessarily, he/she can read it themselves.

Reading POAWhat if the principal is not able to read it, due to failing health? The principal was told were to sign, without any specifics given. Has the principal legal rights been violated? |

| Rather than playing hide and go seek by giving out tidbits of information in hypothetical questions (that could easily be taken out of context), why don't you lay out the complete scenario that concerns you and let the lawyers give you an opinion or some suggestions as to how to proceed. Who is the person and relationship to you, what is their specific medical condition, what was done and by whom, why was it done, why do you believe there is some concern, what is that specific concern, etc, etc
