What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

My mother and sister have been in an ugly battle for years over my grandmother. For a while my mother was the care giver for my grandmother.

Then a few years agao, She was accused of abuse (on my grandma) by my aunt. The adult protectuve services came twice to my parents house and interviewed my grandma and everyone else in the house. They did not find anything the first time they came. My aunt called a second time and told them that my mother had slapped my grandma. This time they did remove my grandma from my parents home and she is now living with my aunt.

So a few years have passed and my mother still says she never hit my grandma and that my grandma just wanted to get out of my parents house cause she felt she was burder to my mom and father. she told mom that she should be with her other daughter(my aunt) because she was a widow and did not have anyone else in the house.

For years my mom has said she wanted to leave it alone but now she says she wants to try to see my grandma on a regular basis again. So we go to the Adult protective services to find out what we need to do and they tell my parents that they have no record of any kind of abuse or complaint about my mother. They told she has every right to see her mother and that she can call the police and have them escort her to my aunt's to see my grandmother. My aunt has told my mom she does want her in her house and that she has power or attorney and that mom is not allowed to see her.

So what is the best course of action for mom to pursue trying to see her mother on a regular basis.

There are alot of old family issues that I won'y go in to but I would like to see if we can legally find a way to force my aunt to let my mother see her mother. She is always crying about this and in the past has asked me to stay out of it but I thought we culd get some advice from the forum.

Also, my grandma was in the hospital a few weeks ago and my mom did see her and talk to her and my grandma said she would like to see my mom more often. But my mom did not go into this whole situation with her mother cause she did not want to cause problems at the hospital.
