My parents are elderly and want me to take over their real estate property and have full control. What would be the best way to have this done without going to an attorney?

My response:

If they currently own the land in "fee simple," then all they have to do is sign and date a Quit Claim Deed over to you, and then you record the Quit Claim Deed. Bingo, it's now your land.

Talk to an accountant and an elder law attorney first. This could come back to bite you big time.
