What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California.
I am being sued for $2800 over an alleged unpaid credit card balance. I have a young daughter who receives disability from the state of California. I work part time and make less than $800 a month. I know they can not garnish my wages as I am way below the poverty level and they can not touch my child's disability income but would a judgement allow them to levy my bank account, even with my situation? I tried to work it out with the creditor and they are asking for $100 a month, along with a judgement if I default. Advise please.....
