Question

HERE IS THE SITUATION IN A NUT SHELL. NC FEMALE WANTS A DIVORCE, SPOUSE IF HABITUAL LEGAL DRUG ABUSER WITH ALL THE INCOME AND 401 AND RETIREMENT, ETC. ALL I HAVE IS RETIREMENT, DISABILITY PAYMENTS , CD'S AND NO KIDS. THE HOUSE WE WILL BOTH WANT AND ALL WE CAN BOTH HAVE WE WILL WANT. HOW DO YOU START A SEPARATION WHEN NEITHER LEAVES BECAUSE OF ABANDONMENT BEING USED AGAINST AS MARITAL FAULT IN A POST SEPARTION OR ALIMONY FOR THE DEPENDENT SPOUSE. DO YOU SUGGEST A LEGAL SEPARATION BE PRESENTED TO SPOUSE ON THE DATE OF ONE OF US LEAVING OR WHAT? WHAT WOULD YOU THINK I WOULD BE ENTITLED TO AS FAR AS A SETTLEMENT AND WOULD I BE THE DEPENDENT SPOUSE SINCE I AM DISABLED. HE CAN RETIRE IN ABOUT 3 YEARS. EVERY WEB SITE TELLS YOU TO GET A DIVORCE IN NO FAULT STATE YOU MUST BE SEPARATED FOR A YEAR. WELL FOR 8 YEARS WE HAVE BEEN IN THE SAME HOUSE BUT STRANGERS AND THAT DOES NOT COUNT. ARE THERE ANY SITES THAT ANYONE KNOWS OF THAT TELL A PERSON HOW TO BEGIN. SEEING AN ATTORNEY WOULD BE KNOWN TO HIM AS SOON AS I WALK OUT THE DOOR BECAUSE OF A PI. WHAT TO DO?

I dont think they will get you for abandonment if you leave for your own safety...having a husband be a drug user puts you at great harm. Im sure you can get to an attorney, you have to. If you really want out, you will find a way. So what if husband finds out????
