| Four years ago I adopted my then step-daughter, while her biological father signed over his paternal rights. Since this time her mother and I have divorced and the mother has allowed contact between my daugher and her biological father. He writes, calls, and visits her now. I live over 1200 miles away, and last Christmas when I flew up there the mother limited my visitation so the biological father could visit my daugher...is this legal, and what can I do about it? I am the one who pays child support on this child, while he only does not. Do I have any recourse? |

| Do you have a court order allowing you visitation and at least soem custody of this child, whom you are now the legal father of? if not, you need to fiel ap etition to get those rights ordered by the court. if you already have an order, youneed to file in court for the order to be enforced if your former spouse is interefering in the court ordered visitation. |
