| Divorced in Oregon 1982: Exwife remarried and moved to Germany with our 2 children. Support check was returned stamped "undeliverable" End of support payments..1983 I received letter denying of visitation for myself and my parents forever. No visitation was ever given to me. Both of my children are now of age and not living at home. In 1998 I received notice of back support due of $30000..from Nevada. Now my ex lives in Oregon again, I think, and I have and still live in Alaska. She has never been on public assistance. Is there a statute of limitations on how long she can wait to collect? Do I have to pay this amount? Or can it be reduced or what do I do now? In advance, thanks to any who can help..... |

| I can and am relating to your situation. In my case half my wages are being Garnished for Back support in another state. I would suggest you act propmtly! At Least talk to the powers that be in nevada. I believe that if you make an effort it will prob. go better for you than it did for me. I ignored LA county ( because I live in San Diego) I thought they had no right to harrass me. Now it looks like I'm going to have to go to court to get this "theft" of my wages stoped or at least reduced to a resonable level. Act soon... Good luck |
