attorney did not file decree,can I file it myself?.

I live in iowa and would like to file the decree myself to save further expenses. What do I need to put in the decree and is there a specific form I need to fill out. My husband never responded to the petition.

Go to your nearest bookstore and, in their legal section, find a good "how to" book on Family law, follow the instructions, and use the forms that should be provided for you in the book.
