CAN HIS CREDITOR SUE ME

My ex live-in boyfriend suddenly left me after 6 years of living together. Among properties he left behind is a TV that he has financed in his name and is (I think) still making payments on. Can the creditor sue me and/or hold me responcible for the TV and moneys owed?
