Correct me if I'm wrong, but in order to be emancipated don't you need to show that you can support yourself? If you're parents won't let you move out then how can you prove that you can in fact live on your own? It seems like a catch 22 to me.

My response:

You're not wrong at all. However, wouldn't you agree that, at least, some teenagers work? Also, even if you only work at McDonald's, you should still have enough money to rent a room in someone's home, and have food and clothes. Granted, it would be tight, but it's a start, and there's always room for improvement in the job market.

But, if she's not working, then plan #2 won't work.
