| This custody battle has been going on for over 3+ years & everytime we go in to court it gets worse and worse for the children & also expensive. My girls are 10&13 and they don't want to spend many hours with their dad because he yells & very unhappy when they are around. If they have any kind of birthday parties or engagements, he will not allow them to go. They are afraid of him because of his yelling. He always put them in the middle of things. The courts act like that since he is paying child support he is an ok dad because he is not physically harming the girls. My present attorney doesn't want to put forth the initiative to press the issue because he is close to retirement. Does anyone have any suggestions or comments to help? PS: I live in Pennsylvania. thanks |

| I just read a book called, "Joint Custody with a Jerk" I would highly recommend it in your situation. I don't think the courts can do a whole lot about yelling and the fact that he scares the children. Unless you have proof that he is harming the children, I'm not sure there is much the courts will do. I'm no expert though, so I may not know what I'm talking about. |
