| Just an update. His probation officer and a Deputy did a surprise search visit last night. They found the pipes just where the kids said they were. His urine test was negative however they found marijuana residue in the pipes. Also found were several prescription medications not his of some sort of controlled substance which were found in his blood test. This is a felony in the State of Montana. However, the State of Wyoming (He came here from there and had his probation transferred up here over a year and a half ago)has declined having him returned on probation violation charges. WE don't want the children to know that what they told us was used to arrest him or for him to know that they told on him as the guilt and blame would be detrimental to them. He is out on bail at the moment and her lawyer will decide what to do about the situation now. It is too bad he had to mess up like this. Just wanted to let you know. ------------------ Concerned Grandmother |

| I"m glad(?), for the kids at least, that the authorities were able to verify that what you feared was happening, really was. I'm sorry for the dad, as this will likely affect his relationship w/the kids. If I appeared non-sympathetic, I'm not. It 's just sometimes, parents get involved, thinking they are "taking action" againest whatever they feel is wrong, and it's best to be absolutely positive as to the accusations, before seeking legal help. Otherwise you stand the chance of being seen as the"evil ex-mother-in law"...Good Luck to your family. |
