Question
My fiance, who lives with me and my son, was ordered to pay child support for his two children(which he has never complained about and WANTS to support his kids). At the time of the order, the child support office (regular CS office, not the CS Enforcement Office) based the amount on his current income...of course. As of two months ago his income decreased dramatically, making it very difficult to meet his current support obligation AND pay his normal living expenses (rent, utilities etc.) What can he do, if anything, to get his payments lowered?

Go to court and get it modified. If you have proof that his income went down alot and it is taking a large percentage of his check then he can get it lowered. My husband was in a car wreck a couple of years back and was out of work . We had to go to court to get it temporarly lowered until he got back on his feet . Good luck!!!
