We live in Connecticut and my questions is for my brother. He has custody of his 2 small children ages 7 and 9. He was married to one of those little blonde princesses, who never worked but love to spend, well, thats besides the point. Bill, has been supporting them now for the last year because at first she had custody but she has taken a strong liking for booze lately and decided she couldn't take care of them anymore....Which Bill is thankful for because he does a great job of raising them. Our question is, can he get child support from her. She only works 8 hours a week in a bar (of course). This job is under the table and she shows no employment at all on record. With the low unemployment rate in Conn. and with every one looking for help can the court make her get a job and help support her children...thanks in advance...

Was there ever a change in custody ?? ie, was it made official ??

Yes you can get CS, just get her to file out her financial affidavit and when she signs the document that she is not working, take a camcorder to the bar and film her..
