Question

I am confused about a few things. I have custody of my two boys and there father was ordered to pay child support and has not. I took him to court and he pleased the court by promising to pay he did so for two whole weeks then stopped for six months. on top of this I had to take him to court because the department of revenue was not moving fast enough I think waiting for 5 months for them was to long for my children to have to wait. My problem is why is it if I stopped feeding, clothing, sheltering my children would I not only go to jail for neglect but lose my children to the system. But my ex-husband who had a little part in making them can walk around with a brand new 2000 year truck and live like a king and not pay child support and on top of that when things start to stir up for him to start paying again he admitts himself into a VA hospital and no one can touch him. (not the first time he has done this) Why does he not go to jail for neglect how come I have to be the responsible one and not him!! I want to find out how to pass a law that will make these men own up to there obligation cause right now the law does not touvh them i don't care what anyone says!!!

You continue to take him back to court.. eventually a pattern is shown and one day when he thinks he has the system beat, he will be escorted from the court and into jail. Keep at it!

Also, depending on your income, you can apply for state aid since he is not paying and they never give up until they get their money back from him..

Psst... I do not work for Macdonald’s or Burger King, and even if I did, I would not tell you. For sloppy bread, tired tomatoes, frozen onions, watered down mayonnaise and imitation meat, please find a drive through window with a person who openly admits they make that stuff.

My advice above is equal to the advice they would give if you asked that person a legal question.
