Unhappy

I live in AL. My Ex-husband lives in OH. which is where the child support case went through. He has sole custody of the child. They came after me for child support when we had a verbal agreement to split all cost of supporting my son. Well I was working temporarily and it took every thing I had to pay the support. Then they came after my Disability Check and took a big chunk out of that. I couldn't survive on what was left and they keept coming after me for more.
My question is if the ex makes more money than me am I still liable for support and also my current husbands travels for work and I am now traveling with him and I'm not in any one place long enough to find a job to pay this support. What do I need to do????

Regardless of the amount of money your ex makes, you as a parent have an obligation to support your child, just as if you had custody and the father were ordered to pay child support.

The courts will look at what you are capable of making in the past as a basis for their calculations. It is your choice to work or not to work but you will still be responsible for paying support.
