| OHIO: Is there anything like a common law divorce? My friends boyfriend has been separated from his wife for the past five years. They have no children, occurred no debts together, share no property , etc. There only bond to each other is a marriage licence, and neither of them have the money to get a legal divorce. Does the 5 years apart count for anything? |

| She still has to file divorce papers. However you can get a standard divorce kit for 30 bucks and do it themselves. I do not normally recommend that action, but since there are no kids, property, debts etc.. it will be simple to do it themselves. |
