The mother will probably get an attorney who will get her to want a continuance that will push the court date back. What for, he just wants basic visitation. When does a judge give a continuance? How long can it hold things up? The baby is already seven months old and getting a court date has taken this long, we are desperate to start the long staged visitation process. How long can she hold the court date off? Seems like we have missed out on enough important bonding time. I am sure she will try and get a continuance because all she has done so far is prolong him seeing the baby.

It could take MONTHS before this issue is heard by the judge. The first time my ex and I went back to court for a modification it took 8 months. I don't know your personal circumstances, but from experience I know that not for your significant other, it is devastating not to see your child, whether you are male or female. It's hard, but you must learn to be patient, and never give up!

sorry about the new thread, i thought maybe no one knew i put something new on the other one. we are distraught. what about the name change and overnight with a child who is on formula and we take in pictures of our nursery. yes, we have one ready because we know that we will at least get the minimum and she will need somewhere to sleep and things to play with-we want to be prepared!!! Would statements or witnesses of character refrences for my husband be helpful, stating what kind of a person he is. Can you bring witnesses in to court or should the refrences be written?
