Question
I reside in Florida and am trying to get my fathers adoption records opened from the state of Colorado for genealogical as well as medical reasons. He was adopted in 1924. All of the people involved in the adoption are deceased. In contacting the state of Colorado they informed me that I need to send $35.00 and a court order (they don't care what stateit's from) and they will open these records and send them to me. Now to my question, how do I obtain a court order for this?

Get an attorney in CO and have them petition the court to give a court order to have them opened..
