Unhappy

My child was taken by CPS one year ago.I don't know what to do at this point. They are filing for termination of parental rights, and even though my mother has tried to get custody of him they are fighting their hardest to keep him.She has got a lawyer and the battle still won't cease. They say because she raised two children that were in the court system for minor offences, when younger that she is not fit. They also say that they are afraid that she will let me see him if awarded custody, even though no true physical or mental harm was ever done. The reasoning for taking him was that I did not attend school, keep a job, or maintain a stable living enviroment. My mother, on the other hand, has had a stable job in a respected porfession for eight years. A total of twenty eight years she has been helping people. She has lived at her current residence for three years, and last residence was for a ten year time period. I feel like we are fighting a battle that we can't win, and now there is nowhere to turn. Any advice would be greatly appriciated and helpful. Please respond and let me know if I am doomed.Sheperdville Ky. Sshel686@cs.com

There is a lot missing here.. they would not have taken the child and be fighting a return just because you did not attend school or have a job. The key must be that you did not 'maintain a stable living enviroment'. Can you define ? Was there neglect him her somewher ?

Cool

Personally, I don't know you. I don't know whether they are not returning the children for a reason or whether you are getting screwed. If you are innocent of wrongdoing, CPS watch will assist. If not, you are just prolonging the inevitable.
