Question

My girlfriend got divorced Jan 2000. She started over and got a new house .One thing she had to do before she could a new house with her and ex was to take care of the credit cards..She got that taken care of and she in turn was able to get her house. The problem is 2 weeks ago she got a call from a bank saying she owed on a credit card bill.. she informed them that she has not used the card since Jan. They said her name was on the card as the primary card holder and she had to pay..She found out her ex had been stil using the card. My question is that in the state of Tennessee will she have to pay the bill or does her ex husband has to since he has been using the card.. Plus what are her rights since it is in her divorce papers that the credit card(S be cancelled.
Thanks

This may seem a silly question.. but why did she not cancel them ?

In answer to the question.. he should have to pay.. but if he does not then you have to go to court.. and in the meantime her credit gets ruined.
