HELP!! Remarried and looking to move out of state. Biological father is unstable, inconsistent, has children 5% of time, emotional abuser and of course dead beat dad. My question is... Living in CA and trying to move to OK for better job and living. Can he stop us from moving?\
Please help, thanks in advance. ravhanson

Yes, he might be able to stop you. You either have to get him to agree to let you move or get permission from a judge. In order to get permission from a judge, you have to prove that it is in the children's best interest, which is not as easy as it sounds. The judge will keep in mind that the children and their father have visitation rights and that moving out of state will hinder or prohibit them from exercising those rights.
